Currently a Solution Architect for an international technology company. Avid gamer since 4 years old. Video games introduce me to the world of technology and gadgets and since then I have been hooked.
Where those the “Carlos La Plaga” nickname came from? Well, once upon a time, at my office, we used to play everyday at 5:00pm a little session of Half-Life multiplayer. One of my favorite strategy was to collect snarks (a small, fictional bug-like alien species used as a weapon in the computer game Half-Life [Wikipedia.org]). When you collect one of those, you were able to have 5 snarks at your disposal to throw them toward your enemy, they will follow them relentlessly, biting them, until they are killed or your opponent hit the dust. Well, what I used to do was to collect them until I had 15 of them. When I saw one single opponent, I will throw the 15 at once, and boy, does that look hilarious. My friends where so fed up with that strategy that they start yelling at me to stop playing like a freaking “plaga” (plague in spanish). Since then, that has been my name on every game I have played.
